A number of scholarship opportunities are available to accounting majors as incoming freshmen or continuing students.

Nina B. Duvall Endowed Scholarship
The Nina B. Duvall Endowed Scholarship is awarded to School of Business students working towards a degree in accounting. Eligible recipients must place within the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class, have a demonstrated financial need, and must be a resident of the state of Kentucky and reside in a county within the area situated east of Interstate Route 75. The area also includes those counties bisected by I-75. The scholarship is renewable and will be available for up to ten semesters of full-time enrollment. The recipient must apply each year meeting the following criteria: a GPA of at least 3.2. Should the recipient's GPA fall below 3.2 in any semester, they may not reapply until a GPA average of 3.2 is again achieved. The endowment will award two $1,000 scholarships.
Dr. Jessica Johnson Frazier Endowed Scholarship
The Dr. Jessica Johnson Frazier Endowed Scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman female student majoring in Accounting from Eastern Kentucky. The student must have an ACT score of 25 or above and must exhibit involvement in high school activities and/or community service in a leadership capacity. Gayle Mason Scholarship
The Gayle Mason Scholarship is awarded to a female, senior accounting major who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in academics and leadership. For more information on this scholarship, contact the AFIS office at 859-622-1087.
McIlvaine Memorial Endowed Scholarship
For entering freshman accounting majors. The McIlvaine Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to an accounting major who is an entering freshman. The recipient is awarded full in-state tuition. For more information on this scholarship, contact the AFIS office at 859-622-1087.
Max Reed Scholarship
The Max Reed Scholarship is awarded to a junior accounting major based on academic excellence and leadership abilities. For more information on this scholarship, contact the AFIS office at 859-622-1087.
R.R. Richards Scholarship
The R.R. Richards Scholarship is awarded to a senior accounting major who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. The recipient is awarded full in-state tuition. For more information on this scholarship, contact the AFIS office at 859-622-1087.
KYCPA Educational Foundation Scholarships (Non-departmental, professional scholarship)
Applicants must: Be enrolled in a Kentucky college or university and be at least a sophomore at the time of application; have an overall grade point average of at least 2.75 and an accounting grade point average of 3.0; have completed Principles of Accounting. The scholarships recognize scholastic achievement and leadership qualities in students who plan to become CPAs. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500. Financial Executives International (Non-departmental, professional scholarship)
